A Song for Everything

What a pleasure and relief it has been to wake up to cooler mornings these past two days, after the weekend I did wonder whether I would ever be cool again!! Performing through 40 degree days is hot work! How did you cope with the weekend? So I have been rather busy this year already. Oklahoma on a Farm was another success, for its third year and took up my first week of Jan. Again it was a pleasure to work up on the Four Oaks Farm in Littlehampton, with a great bunch of people to full crowds. We finished on the 8th of Jan and on the 9th rehearsals started for the SA Premiere of "Shrek the Musical" with Adelaide Youth Theatre . Eight days rehearsal is really all we had before we moved into the theatre to perform this hilarious and fantastic musical. You might be thinking "are you serious??" and I can totally understand that, but yes I am. We would rehearse for around 7 hours a day and we have 2 casts so there was quite a few people around. Happy New Year!! So another year has flown by and we move into 2018. How did you celebrate the coming of the new year? Are you glad to see 2017 go or are you grateful for an amazing year? I saw in the new year doing what I love singing at the Big Bash Cricket! It was a great fun experience - great music, kaftans, big hair and singing on a 8 metre high stage along with fireworks, glitter and lights. Loved it! Also 2 days before that I achieved a GOAL and a DREAM of 13 years when I finished qualification for Mary Kay Directorship. Ever since I started my Mary Kay business I wanted to become a Director and finally it has happened. It was a dream that many times, I did not know whether it would actually come about but I never gave up on it. This year though I decided to focus on it and believe that I was worth it. I am so excited to lead an amazing unit of people and share with others the wonderful opportunity of Mary Kay. 2017 has been a FANTASTIC year for me in many respects.
