Bless 'Em All, Bless 'Em All...

Well its been a little while since I last posted! June seemed to fly by as I was busy finishing financial year as well!

Actually its been an interesting time the last month for me. If you don't know, aside from being a Singer & Performer, I am a Mary Kay Sales Director. So I have been learning to juggle all the things I have going on in my life. May was a crazy month, I finished Side Show the Musical, did the Melodienacht concerts in Tanunda, rehearsals and did 50 facial/makeovers. It was a full on month and I was exhausted by the end, both mentally and physically.

I knew that I had to recharge and change my thoughts and so I changed up my morning and evening routine, refocused on my goals and who I want to be. Its taking time to slow down a bit, spend time with God and control the thoughts. It really has helped and now I feel happier and less stressed and excited for this new Mary Kay year and the rest of the year.

And now we are into the second half of the year, how are you feeling? What are your intentions for the next 6 months?

I am excited to build my Mary Kay business, to sing at a great array of gigs and concerts and even sing on a cruise in November. I feel blessed to always be doing the things that I love. I love sharing Mary Kay and teaching skincare and makeup application and then love singing, performing and teaching. So much variety haha!

The next concert that I am in both with Soul Factor and my sisters, The Raymond Sisters, is "Bless 'Em All" - an Anzac Tribute on Sunday July 29th at 3pm. Soul Factor along with the Australian Army Band Adelaide will present a wonderful array of music from WW1 and WW2 and the eras around them. It will be a wonderful afternoon of music, sing-alongs and memories. Tickets are selling fast so grab your mates and book your tickets here

Then leaping to a different era again, later that night I'm singing at "Big Soul - Live at the Gov" with the J.D.Lord Band. This will be a night of soulful 60s & 70s music with many favourites from Elvis, Tom Jones and more Tickets are available at http://www.thegov.com.au/

So there are some interesting things happening and I hope to see you at some of the events!

Have a fabulous week!
Bec x

Happy Birthday Songs!

So I'm now 31! I can not believe a year has already passed since my 30th and all that was going on at that time. There I was last year thinking "Oh my goodness, I'm in a new age range I've hit 30" and that year has already past. Well, I can say that being in your 30's is not bad actually and if anything I am happy I'm here, yes minus a few things I thought I would have gained in that 30th year but I am happy, healthy and surrounded by those who love me so I am extremely grateful. This years birthday was a lot less flashy than last years (thank goodness because that was a lot of work haha!) but lovely all the same. It began actually on Saturday, my sister Liv had organised a breakfast and surprised me by inviting some of girlfriends to join us. The cafĂ© we went to was Harvest in Mylor, South Australia. It was really adorable and encourage you to check it out some time. We sat outside in gorgeous weather, under the tress and enjoyed each others company and...

"Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain"

I can't believe I am sitting here already a week after the opening of Emma Knights Productions Oklahoma! on a Farm and we have finished another fabulous season and I've already jumped into rehearsals for the next couple of things. But I wanted to take a moment to again talk about this show and to say how grateful I am to be able to perform like this. This season of Oklahoma was HOT!! in many ways but also "literally" haha!! The temperatures of the weekend were in the high 30's and Saturday was so humid, but the amazing cast, crew and orchestra pushed through it and the performances was fabulous. And thats not just me saying that but the audiences who came were again raving at how good it was and what I find wonderful is they all sat through it, in the heat themselves but did not complain. There is something about being on the farm, if you have never been to Four Oaks Farm in Littlehampton I encourage you to (even better if it's for a show I'm doing...

Turkish and Other Delights! Part Two...

And so the story of the trip continues here Part One can be found here ! So we arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday 21st April 2015 and as I said in the previous post we were struck by how many people there were and how crazy the driving was but luckily we were picked up by our tour company, Travelshop Turkey. We did make it to our hotel, The Green Park Hotel, safely and this hotel seemed quite nice. We did find it weird we didnt know anything about our start time in the morning or anything else from our tour but the guy at the desk did say that they were rather unorganised and not to worry, he'd let us know. Dancers on the boat Our first experience began that night began with a Bosphorus River and Dinner Cruise (to be honest we didn't quite know what to expect), people had said that it was great to cruise on the Bosphorus and see Istanbul from the water. Well we got picked up along with some others we didn't know and headed to our boat. Well this night was an experience!...
