Memories

I find it interesting that at certain times of the year, every year, I do interesting things. It's kind of like that time of the year is made for doing interesting things. Now I may not have figured this out but thanks to Facebook Memories everyday I get a reminder of what has happened over the last 10 years or however long I have been on FB.

Ok so I get that we shouldn't "Live in the past" or whatever but interestingly I have found that looking at those memories makes me very grateful for the blessings I have in my life. For the people i know and share with and for the opportunities I am gifted with.

And so the story of the trip continues here Part One can be found here ! So we arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday 21st April 2015 and as I said in the previous post we were struck by how many people there were and how crazy the driving was but luckily we were picked up by our tour company, Travelshop Turkey. We did make it to our hotel, The Green Park Hotel, safely and this hotel seemed quite nice. We did find it weird we didnt know anything about our start time in the morning or anything else from our tour but the guy at the desk did say that they were rather unorganised and not to worry, he'd let us know. A Dream is a wish your heart makes....

A dream is a wish you heart makes... Do you have a dream? something that you want your life to be? or somewhere you want to go? Are you reaching for it? I have had a dream to be a Mary Kay Director since I joined the company 10 years ago and this month I took a huge step to achieving this. On October 1st I entered into DIQ or Director in Qualification, I now have 4 months to become a Director. I am very excited about this, the timing seemed right and when I do it I will be able to do just Mary Kay and Singing which will be perfect! It is rather scary though because there is a lot of work to be done in those four months, I have to build my team and reach certain production goals and sometimes it seems crazy, but that's the idea of moving up isn't it? taking a leap of faith? So why Directorship you ask? I understand leadership is not for everyone but I have always been drawn to it. I do have a passion for helping women feel good about themselves and I believe that we are...

2018 Celebration!!

2018 has really been an amazing year.  When I look back on what I've actually done this year it is actually quite crazy but I've enjoyed every minute of it.  There have been times of difficulty and real stress when things didn't go to plan but God has blessed me so abundantly and really allowed me to use my gifts to share with people and to create a life that is really full of joy. So at the beginning of this year, I actually said I was gonna have a quieter year and that turned out to not be true in the slightest. But it has been amazing!  So this year, I have done Oklahoma on a Farm twice, played Princess Fiona in an SA Premiere of Shrek (plus learned to tap dance), done a Bee Gee's Tribute with my sisters, climbed aboard a Pirate Ship many times, been a Siamese Twin in SideShow the Musical, been an Ice & Fire Queen, learnt and performed many Elvis songs, sang on a Cruise Ship,  sang on the radio 4 times, perfomed in concerts, gigs, dinne...
